On the heels of their last debut, Chris Gatsby and IO Hustle of The Substitute Teachers have been featured yet again on a
Pony Canyon release. The two lend their voices on the intro track “The Vibes” for Japanese pop/hiphop dance group LEAD. Lead has released to this date a total of 14 singles, five albums, seven DVDs, and have done five tours. As well as making numerous guest appearances on talk shows, hosting their own TV shows, and starring in movies and dramas, not to mention winning a total of three Japan Record Awards. The Substitute Teachers are busy writing/recording their next album, but have you picked up “The Lesson Plan” yet? It has 8 dope cuts, and features the hit singles “Poor Man’s Pimpin’, “Conflict Resolution,” and “Yar Like a Pirate.” Get it in the MUSIC section for only $3!!!

The Substitute Teachers members IO Hustle and Chris Gatsby are featured on Japanese pop group “Idoling’s!!!” first major record label release by Pony Canyon, Inc. titled “Daijinamono,” which debuted on Japan’s February 27th Oricon’s Daily Chart at #4. Working with producer Mizuho Hirata, Chris and IO (titling credits are under their actual names) sets the tone with a energetic rap intro called, “The Theme of Idoling,” that introduces all nine of the “Idoling!!!” members. Chris Gatsby and IO Hustle will also be featured on another upcoming Japanese release for the hiphop dance group “LEAD” on March 5th.
